Argentine Tango in The Netherlands (Nederland)


A welcoming people with a warm Buenos Aires-style embrace

The Netherlands is a small country of people of the sea, so they have a friendly attitude towards visitors. Most Dutch people speak English and other languages because they want to be able to converse with the other peoples of the world.

Amsterdam and Nijmegen are important Tango communities in Europe. Amsterdam is the home of Marijke de Vries' Tangomagia Tango festival which brings the best of the world-class Tango artists and social dancers together between Christmas and New Year's. Nijmegen is the home of Eric Jørissen's El Corte where the Tango has been taught and danced since 1987.
